* keep installations for space heating and water heating in good repair and proper working order
But what if there are no heaters in the first place’ Surely there is some law that requires a landlord to provide heaters, especially for people who have babies’ I used to work for a council department that dealt with household repairs, and we always sent a gas engineer out immediately if a council tenant with a baby had no heating and/or no hot water, even if it was in the middle of the night. Oh, the flat also has no shower, just a bath. Positively stone age!
